In 2009, Loresca obtained the Television Seal of Approval (TMS) from the American Meteorological Society. She then obtained a Broadcast Meteorology Certificate from the Mississippi State University. For college, she went to California State University Fullerton and studied Broadcast Journalism. Loresca completed her high school in Chino, California. Her family moved to America when she was 10 months old and settled in Southern California. Loresca was born on 28 June 1977 in Manila, Philippines. In 2015, she joined ABC13 Eyewitness News to work in the Accuweather team. In 2007, Loresca began forecasting for the NBC affiliate KNBC on their noon segment Today in LA. At WSVN, she covered Hurricane Frances from the first day and covered the most historic Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma in 2005, directly from the National Hurricane Center. In 2004, she joined Fox Affiliated WSVN station and began presenting morning and lunchtime newscasts in Miami. From 2002 to 2004, she worked as the morning and noon weather forecaster for the CBS affiliate KGPE-TV in Fresno, California. She then went on to work as a noon weathercaster and assignment editor for the NBC/CW+ affiliate KGET-TV in Bakersfield, California, from 2001 to 2002. She began her career in journalism as a news associate at CBC affiliate KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.
